Reflexology
|
|
I'm pleased to announce that I am now offering Reflexology
treatments with my therapeutic massage sessions! Reflexology is a treatment that has been around for thousands of years and addresses
numerous conditions of the body by working just the feet. It also can reduce stress and tension, improve blood supply, and promote unblocking of nerve impulses. Reflexology is starting to get even more popular as people realize that pharmaceutical drugs and surgeries
are not natural ways to treat conditions that involve the internal systems of the body. Many times, these western medicine treatments cause new problems and/or side effects in other parts of the body that had no problem before the drugs or surgery.
As with Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage, I've already heard stories of
therapists giving Reflexology treatments in
our area using more pressure than is tolerable, causing excessive pain, bruising to the
feet, and even nausea. So you'll be pleased to know that my Reflexology
treatments will be conducted in the same caring
and considerate manner that my Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage sessions
are--using a pressure that is tolerable for you, but can still get great results!
Massage with Reflexology sessions at my
offices in Melbourne and Titusville will cost the same as Deep Tissue/Therapeutic
Massage (see Service & Rates page). And like other therapeutic
massage treatments, it typically takes from three to six
treatments on a problem area to get close to 100% improvement in any condition. However, for conditions that have been present for quite a few years, it will probably take more than six sessions to get significant relief.
Take a look at some of the common conditions that have been helped by Reflexology:

Read
what alternative doctor, Julian Whitaker, MD
has to say about Reflexology:
"One of our patients' favorite therapies here at the Whitaker Wellness Clinic is reflexology, which involves placing pressure on specific 'reflex' points in the feet, hands, and ears. Studies have proven a wide range of benefits for this therapy including faster wound healing, improved circulation, reductions in sleep and mood problems, and declines in gastrointestinal symptoms, to name just a few."
"One small study also revealed that reflexology may be useful for hypertension and high triglycerides. A group of patients received two weekly treatments of professional reflexology for six weeks then self-administered foot reflexology twice a week for another four weeks. At the study's conclusion, systolic blood pressure and triglyceride levels fell markedly, compared to a control group, and quality of life improved as well."
"Although reflexology is not a massage per se, it feels wonderful and has profound healing and relaxing
effects."

If you have not gotten as much relief as
you'd like from other therapies,
medications, or surgeries, I encourage you
to give Reflexology a try for any
condition(s) that you have. I look forward
to helping you
improve your quality of life even
more than I may have helped you already!
